Since recovering from three days of fabulous fun with seeing Ringo in Florida,
I thought I would share my adventures with my friends.

Leaving home at 5:10 pm and driving franatically to Jacksonville Fl, we arrived
at 8:30 pm at the Jacksonville Theatre. Amazingly, we didn't make one wrong
turn, and drove straight to the theatre only to find one parking space directly
accross from the theatre. The show had started already, and we only missed
three songs, Ringo's Don't Pass Me By and Acting Naturally.

The show was sold out, with no empty seats to be found. I looked hard too! So
we took our seats up in the looge. When Ringo walked off the stage, I left to
case out the theatre, in hopes of being able to see Ringo up close and personal
and perhaps to get that long awaited autograph on my Vertical Man CD.

I returned to find that I had missed Ringo singing "I'm the Greatest". Todd
Rundgren was well received, along with Jack Bruce and Gary Brooker, and Simon
Kirke. Okay, they were all well recieved. Todd Rundgren was dressed in cut
offs and an pale blue button down shirt. Some one remarked that he got his
outfit from Walmart for $5.00. Ringo was dressed in a black tee shirt, black
jeans, black belt with a silver buckle, black sneakers, and a green windbreaker
type jacket.

As soon as the encore begun, I left the theatre to stand my ground, but, alas,
I did not cas the joint very well, and did not see Ringo leave.

As I drove down to Ft. Lauderdale, I listened to the Butcher Covers. The show
in Ft. Lauderdale was even better! Also, sold out. Although, when Ringo
mentioned Vertical Man, the crowd did not react as enthusiaticaly as the
Jacksonville crowd. I did manage to go up to the second row during the encore
to get a good view of Ringo. The crowd was mixed in ages, and Ringo welcomed
all the spring breakers and said that this was his favorite venue in Florida,
and that he had been there three times. It was nearly impossible to see Ringo
coming or going here as there was a car show there during the day, and many
many people milling about.
Ringo wore the same outfit that he wore the day before! And, Todd, well, he
wore a navy blue and orange skirt! and was barefooted. He seem to enjoy
especially bang the drum, as he was dancing around beating that drum.

Ringo was in a good mood and joked a bit. The radio station handed out free
hats, glow sticks, licorice, stickers, as one walked in. Ringo often told
people to wave their sticks in the air. Ringo thanked one girl who had tried
several times to get on stage. Ringo gave his drum sticks to a little girl in
the front row.

Sunday was off to Orlando. Arriving at the Hard Rock Live, it was impossible
to case out the joint. As I was waiting for the show, I met Roger.... Hello
Roger!.... and, in a case that could be a timex commerical, I missed out on
front row seats. As I was standing there, a man came up right along side of me
and announced, front row seat for face value, and before I could say, let me
see that ticket, a guy who was walking around, said 'I take it'. I examined
the ticket after he got it and realized that it was probably a front row seat
too! Course, I kept my eye on him to see where he would sit, and sure enough,
he sat front row, in front to Todd Rundgen. My seat was six rows from the
stage, directly infront of Ringo's mic. Great view....

Orlando was definitely the best show! Ringo joked and they sounded great.
Hard Rock Live is a small venue, with seats close to the front of the stage, so
even, six rows back, I was close! Ringo came out in a black tee shirt, black
pants, black sneakers, silver belt and a hot pink long jacket. He looked
fabulous! The audience gave several standing ovations... There was two large
screen along the stage. Ringo shook several hands, held up a sign, pointed at
me.... at least in my direction....

And, of interest, is that I spotted, I do believe, a now defunct bootleg
dealer at the sound board. Now, I saw him at Orlando and also in Jacksonville.
Didn't speak to him, so not so sure, but, they may be hope for us yet!

The song set was the same at all three shows.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as me!! Karen :)

I saw the Fort Lauderdale show, and it was just as described. It was Ringo's
3rd show at that venue, and the 3rd time I saw him there!

(Actually, the show was the same as the previous tour, except substitute Todd
Rungren for Peter Frampton...I wish Ringo had made more changes in the band
this time.)

The songs, as best as I can recall, were:
Gary Brooker: Salty Dog, Whisky train, Whiter Shade of Pale
Todd Rungren: Hammer to the Heart, Bang on the Drum, (something else) (but not
Hello Its Me!)
Simon Kirke: Shooting Star, All Right Now
Jack Bruce: White room, I Feel Free, Sunshine of Your Love
Ringo: Love Me Do(!), Yellow Sub, Boys, No-No, I'm 16, Backoff Bugaloo, With a
Little Help, Photograph, more...

No opening act as before, no intermission!
